Small Business Mavericks is a full service digital marketing agency specializing in sales
lead generation, online marketing strategy, website design and development.

What made you decide to open this business?
We’ve always dreamed of building our own business, and we have a passion for helping
small and mid-size businesses succeed. Small businesses are the backbone of this
country and nothing excites us more than to give them a competitive advantage to help
them win.

What has surprised you most when owning a business?

Business owners often get caught up in what we call “shiny object syndrome” when it
comes to their marketing. They tend to spend less time on strategy and more time on
tactics like the latest social media platform, for instance. It surprises us because
strategy is really your roadmap to winning. It’s one of the things our clients like about
our service as we focus on creating winning strategies for them.

What would your customers say they love most about your business?

Our clients tell us that we have a way of making the complicated world of online
marketing understandable. We customize our services for each of our clients, so they
get the results they are looking for.

What is your favorite thing about being an entrepreneur?

Having control of our own schedule which gives us the flexibility to be a support to
family when needed and be involved in community activities. (Plus time to spend
supporting our dogs).

What are your favorite things to do, places to go in the community?

Wayzata Chamber of Commerce. We love the lake and the community events
throughout the year. There are way too many fantastic restaurants in the area for us to
choose a favorite.

Why do you think it is important to shop local?

One of the things we love about Wayzata is the small-town charm. It’s important to
shop local to preserve our local business community.
