We are all in this thing called life together; we all get one chance – lift each other up, let your light shine & love hard.

Describe your business

Mindfully Minimized is a lifestyle service committed to helping people clear the clutter in their lives so they can focus on what they love. Transforming their space to help them live a focused life that is more calm, purposeful, sustainable, and joyously livable.

What made you decide to open this business?

For all my life, I have had a passion for creating beautifully organized spaces, and regularly helped friends and family with cleaning and reorganization projects. Helping people clear the clutter so they can focus on what they love and live intentionally. Decluttering is a total process and everyone is at a different stage. Building trust, meeting people were they are at, and helping them get where they want to go!

What is something most people don’t know about the business?

Selecting your Professional Organizer is like hiring your wedding photographer. You will spend lots of time together so you what to make sure you jive together. In additional to that, these are the three questions I get asked a lot.

1. WHO HAS PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZERS?

2. DO YOU GET JUDGED?

3. PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZING REALLY A THING?

What would your customers say they love most about your business?

I would have to say the transformation people experience, the huge weight lifted off their shoulders. There is such a great feeling of freedom & empowerment clients express as they work through clearing their clutter and learning practical ways to organize their space and maintain going forward.

What is your favorite part of being an entrepreneur?

Spending more time with my family – ability to adjust my schedules to attend school functions and activities.

Having the opportunity to directly change lives – providing a service that makes a huge impact on people’s lives and seeing the impact directly. There is nothing like helping a client clear their clutter and make space in their life for what they love.

Advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?

These 3 quotes sum it up:
“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently”- Henry Ford
“Focus on the Reasons You Can”
“Always remember your focus determines your reality”- George Lucas

Tell us more about yourself

Proud Minnesota Mama of three little girls and a loving INTP personality type hubby. I listen to audio books when I run, refrain myself from daily mochas stops at Caribou to only on special occasions, and am an optimist at heart with infectious positive energy brought into any environment. This energy often leads to inaudible voice & text messages as I talk superfast and skip spell check when I am excited. I am working daily to be mindful to ensure I am leveraging my gifts to make a difference. We are all in this thing called life together; we all get one chance – lift each other up, let your light shine & love hard.

Why do you think it’s important for people to shop local?

To improve the local economy & Environmental Sustainability: When a consumer buys local, significantly more of that money stays in the community. Local stores help to sustain vibrant, compact, walkable town centers-which in turn are essential to reducing sprawl, automobile use, habitat loss, and air and water pollution.

What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had working with a customer?

Working with clients on projects in all shapes and sizes is invigorating. One of the most memorable experiences was helping a client’s transformation of an extra bedroom that was used as a catch all into a dedicated guest room for visitors and a craft room. This individual loved doing crafts projects of all kinds. It was a stress relief and brought her much joy.
