MN Brands For Good, Meet Co-Founder Gina Moore

What made you decide to open this business?

AJ and I are friends, business partners and Minnesota moms.  We were inspired by the types of fundraisers our kids were bringing home and found ourselves rarely satisfied with the quality or appeal of existing pressure-filled programs.  We set out to transform and elevate the long-standing platform through a curated shopping experience of Minnesota-made, highly sought-after products where 40%  goes right back to the student groups. We gathered together an inspiring collection of local brands who joined to help Minnesota students, each other and the larger community.  Our vision is to make new opportunities available to fundraising groups while leveraging this platform as a mechanism for good in Minnesota.

What has surprised you most when owning a business?

When we started this business, we couldn’t have imagined the positive impact it would have on the Minnesota community.  These fundraising dollars have been utilized to help purchase new equipment, provide scholarships and offset activity expenses.  We’ve been able to help groups and nonprofits fund programs that impact Minnesota youth.  It’s a win/win because we are supporting local brands who give back to great philanthropic causes like mental health awareness, anit-bullying education and MN honey bee pollinator programs.  The impact MN Brands For Good has had on the community has been rewarding and we are grateful we get to do this fulfilling work.

What would your customers say they love most about your business?

Customers love the variety of quality of MN made products.  There are gift, home, food and beverage products with price points for everyone.  They love the flexibility of online ordering and that these products are 100% shelf stable.
